Abstract

|
Chitosan microbeads, microcapsules, and microspheres which can be used as drug carriers and solid supports for enzyme immobilization, and solid-phase organic synthesis were prepared using emulsion methods from chitosan and its derivertives. Chitosans were degraded to the oligomers, from which chitosan lipids were prepared by acylation and their liquid crystal or vesicle-forming properties were studied.
